Mustangs fall to Jamestown on senior day
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside's regular season men’s volleyball finale arrived today, with senior day festivities honoring Dylan Hamil, Kahakai Kahoiwai, and Erik Krenz coming ahead of the match against Jamestown. The Mustangs fell in the match, 3-0, with scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-14.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside's regular season men's volleyball finale arrived today, with senior day festivities honoring Dylan Hamil, Kahakai Kahoiwai, and Erik Krenz coming ahead of the match against Jamestown. The Mustangs fell in the match, 3-0, with scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-14.
Morningside's offense sputtered against Jamestown's tall block, totaling 24 kills in the match. Natan Alves recorded a team-high 12 kills in the match, with Krenz and Kahoiwai next in line with four each. Tharen Cox had three terminations, and Dylan Hamil had one. Emilio DeWitt had 24 assists in his debut as a starter, moving the ball around the court effectively.
Owen Anderson tallied four digs as Jamestown worked quickly to find the floor. Alves had three, and Kahoiwai and Cox each had two. Cox had a pair of block assists, working with Kahoiwai and Alves.
The Mustangs will host a play-in match for the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournament on Saturday, March 25 at 1 p.m. in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.
