CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Morningside played the last ranked opponent on its regular season men’s volleyball schedule today, traveling to no. 7 Mount Mercy. The Mustangs of Morningside fell to Mount Mercy’s Mustangs, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Morningside played the last ranked opponent on its regular season men's volleyball schedule today, traveling to no. 7 Mount Mercy. The Mustangs of Morningside fell to Mount Mercy's Mustangs, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.
Morningside's defense led the way today, as Owen Anderson had 10 digs, Donte Jennings had six, and Gabe Schreck had five.
Ian Smith was the leader at the net, with four block assists. Tharen Cox had three, and Mohamed Benkrid, Liam Lutz, and Natan Alves each had two.
Alves led on the attack, with seven kills. Jacob DePauw had nine assists and Schreck had five.
Morningside will look to shake off today's loss as it heads to Clarke tomorrow for a 2 p.m. contest.
