DES MOINES, Iowa – The Mustangs dropped a tightly contested contest at Grand View this evening, falling to the Vikings 3-2.
Morningside's offense continues to be piloted by Malu Wilcox, who had 44 assists in the match, connecting with Natan Alves for 23 kills and Mohamed Benkrid for 12.
Defensively, the Mustangs were led at the net by Palikapu Wilson and Alves, with five blocks each, and Edoardo Pirazzo, with four.
Behind the block, Tucker Juhnke had a team-high 18 digs, followed Ferdinando Vinti with 16 and Alves, who had 10.
Morningside is back at home this weekend, playing Park at 6 p.m. on Friday and Ottawa at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Allee Gym.
