The Mustangs, like last night against Mount Mercy, were able to gain an advantage due to opponent errors, as the Pride gave up more than 30 points via errors.
Unlike last night, Morningside's offense was clicking, amassing 47 kills off 44 assists, while hitting .337 in the match. Natan Alves led with 19 kills and a .485 attack percentage. Ferdinando Vinti followed with 10 kills at .368, Mohamed Benkrid hit .200 with nine kills, and Mauro Verstraeten hit .444 with five terminations. Malu Wilcox had 19 assists, with Lucca Stoelinga following with 18.
Francisco Colichon had a pair of block assists, while Verstraeten, Benkrid, and Vinti each had one. Tucker Juhnke led the way behind the block, tallying 14 digs. Alves had 10, and Stoelinga scooped seven.
Morningside travels to Kansas Wesleyan on April 3 for a 7 p.m. match before finishing the regular season at Graceland on April 7.
