The Mustangs got started with the match on the right foot, as Noah Avina picked up a 19-2 tech fall at the 125-pound weight class.
Morningside ran the table from the 149-pound class on, as Caden Eggleston added another tech, winning 20-4; Wiley Hegwer won a major decision at 157, 17-7; Zander Ernst won via tech fall at 165, 17-2; Braedyn Rakes got a pin in 1:17 at 174 pounds; Joseph Monge added a major decision, 18-6, at 184 pounds; Mekhi Bovee got a fall at 197 in 2:45; and Jaxson Boyd finished the night with a fall at 285 in 6:46.
The Mustangs will send a delegation to the Grand View Open tomorrow morning in Des Moines.
