Eggleston, Ernst among winners against Dakota Wesleyan

MITCHELL, S.D. — Three Morningside wrestlers won their matches Tuesday in a 28-15 loss to Dakota Wesleyan in men's wrestling action.

Ty Lorentzen, Caden Eggleston, and Zander Ernst were the three victorious Mustangs against the Tigers. Lorentzen won by forfeit to start off the night at 125 pounds.

At 149, Eggleston — ranked 10th in his class — pinned his man in 1 minute, 35 seconds. Eggleston recorded a takedown before he earned his pinfall.

Then, Ernst earned a 10-1 major decision, thanks to seven points scored in the third period. He is ranked third nationally at 165.

Morningside's next dual is at 7 p.m. Friday at home against Briar Cliff.
