Ernst leads quartet of All-Conference honorees

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Four Morningside men's wrestlers were recently announced as Great Plains Athletic Conference All-Conference honorees.
Mustangs junior Zander Ernst was voted as the program's lone first-teamer, as the 165-pounder from Aurelia, Iowa, has posted a 20-0 record heading into nationals next weekend in Wichita, Kansas.
Caden Eggleston and Carson Turnis were voted onto the second team. Both juniors also qualified for the national tournament, as Eggleston did at 149 and Turnis at 165.
Eggleston went 17-3 this season, while Turnis won 10 matches.
Bovee was recently named GPAC Freshman of the Year, winning 17 matches. Bovee also took two wins at the GPAC Tournament.
Recently named the GPAC Freshman of the Year, Mehki Bovee also earned honorable mention status. Bovee achieved a total of 17 wins this season, which included two victories at the GPAC Tournament.
