Mustangs take 15th in penultimate meet

Junior Parker Halder paced the Mustangs in the 8,000-meter race, finishing 66th with a time of 26 minutes, 9 seconds. Fellow junior Eein McKinley was close behind in 67th at 26:10, while Braden Sonksen took 152nd in 27:22.
Senior RC Hicks finished 157th in 27:28, and senior Casey Kruger rounded out the team scoring in 165th at 27:34.
Also competing for the Mustangs were seniors Austin Ramold (197th, 28:01) and Mason Welker (199th, 28:10), along with freshmen Brody Rouse (256th, 29:15), Jose Lopez (269th, 29:41), Kael Hamann (307th, 31:05) and Kyle McDonald (332nd, 33:28). Morningside finished 15th overall in the team standings and will return to action Nov. 8 at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships.
