Mustangs to compete in Oklahoma City pod for national tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the first time since 2021, the Morningside University softball team is in the NAIA national tournament.
The Mustangs learned on Wednesday when and where they're playing, and they're the No. 5 seed in the Oklahoma City University pod. Their first game is Monday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at Ann Lacy Stadium against Victoria-Houston.
Other schools in the Oklahoma City University pod include Missouri Baptist and William Carey of Mississippi.
Morningside goes into national tournament play with a 33-17 record, and it won 17 Great Plains Athletic Conference games.
