Harrel, Schuster, selected as second team Academic All-Americans
GREENWOOD, IND. – Morningside Softball added two more individual honors to the trophy case today as College Sports Communicators placed Mackenzi Harrel and Paige Schuster on its 2025 Academic All-America second team.
GREENWOOD, IND. – Morningside Softball added two more individual honors to the trophy case today as College Sports Communicators placed Mackenzi Harrel and Paige Schuster on its 2025 Academic All-America second team.
The pair of sophomore outfielders join the 23 total players selected for Academic All-America honors. The two were selected from a field of 259 Academic All-District honorees and join nine previous Morningside softball honorees with the title of Academic All-American.
The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for a combination of success in competition and in the classroom, requiring that nominees maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and participate in at least 90 percent of total games, start in 66 percent, or make 17 pitching appearances or pitch 35 innings.
