Harrel, Fliege lead All-GPAC honors
SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Morningside softball team placed multiple student-athletes on the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) All-Conference teams, as announced by the league office on Monday.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Morningside softball team placed multiple student-athletes on the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) All-Conference teams, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Junior outfielder Mackenzi Harrel and sophomore pitcher Adeline Fliege earned First Team All-GPAC honors. Harrel led the Mustangs with 43 RBIs and 11 home runs. She also hit .313 in 128 at-bats.
Fliege, meanwhile, anchored the pitching staff by throwing 141 innings pitched. She won 17 games, and allowed 50 earned runs. She struck out 110 batters and walked 34.
Morningside added three Second Team All-GPAC selections, with senior infielder Jenna Skradski, sophomore outfielder Amber Dougherty and junior catcher Josie Hernandez each earning recognition. Skradski was one of four Mustangs who had at least a triple with 22 RBIs, Dougherty knocked home 27 runs, scored 42 herself, and hit .386. Hernandez hit .317 while leading a pitching staff that had a 3.17 ERA this season.
Three additional Mustangs received Honorable Mention recognition, including Jalyn Noelle, Morgan Secora and Emma Barwick.
