Morningside garners national votes in preseason poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Wednesday, the Morningside women's basketball team earned votes in the NAIA preseason poll.

Last season, Morningside won 13 games, including a two-point win over then-No. 5 Briar Cliff to close out the regular season. The Mustangs went 11-11 in GPAC play last season. They were picked fifth earlier this fall in the conference preseason poll.

Morningside opens the season Nov. 1 against Mount Mercy at Allee Gymnasium.
