Mustangs Set Back in OT Thriller, 86-83
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Morningside Women’s Basketball suffered its second loss in Great Plains Athletic Conference action this afternoon, as the Mustangs hosted Mount Marty. Morningside forced the contest into overtime on a layup from Clancy Brown with three seconds left in regulation, but was unable to keep the Lancers at bay, falling 86-83.

Morningside forced the contest into overtime on a layup from Clancy Brown with three seconds left in regulation, but was unable to keep the Lancers at bay, falling 86-83.
Lily Vollertsen led all scorers with 31 points. Jaeden Webb was next for Morningside with 12, Sam Ehlers had 10, and Brown finished the extended contest with six from the bench. Webb added six assists to her stat line.
Ehlers had six defensive rebounds with 11 overall to lead Morningside. Vollertsen had 10, with five on each side of the ball, and Brown had five, all on defense.
Morningside will work to get a crucial GPAC win on Tuesday, when Waldorf comes to the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center at 6 p.m.
