Mustang women place fifth in Cedar Valley Invite
WATERLOO, Iowa – Kaitlin Hofmeister bowled three 200-plus games to score a 965 series and lead the Morningside women’s bowling team at the Cedar Valley Invite in Waterloo Saturday and Sunday.
WATERLOO, Iowa – Kaitlin Hofmeister bowled three 200-plus games to score a 965 series and lead the Morningside women's bowling team at the Cedar Valley Invite in Waterloo Saturday and Sunday.
Hofmeister bowled a 206, 205 and 203 leading to her team-best 965. Carissa Johnson had the best game of the weekend for the Mustangs with a 227, and tallied a 926 five-game series. The Mustangs were in fourth place before the Baker competition with a 4,510 team total.
Hofmeister and Johnson were joined by Maren Ewertz, Morgan Roark, Rachel Spier, Samantha Schiefen, and Samantha Sonier for the Baker competition. The team's 2,814 Baker total was fourth as well, but they ultimately finished fifth in the weekend's overall standings with a score of 7,324. Coe College took fourth place by two pins over the Mustangs.
Morningside is back in action Feb. 25-26 in Kansas City for the Unaffiliated Conference Tournament.
