Two Mustangs tie for individual title at College of Saint Mary Invite
OMAHA, Neb. – Morningside had a strong showing at the College of Saint Mary Invite as seven Mustangs placed tied for 15th or better and Morningside brought home the team title Thursday in Omaha.
OMAHA, Neb. – Morningside had a strong showing at the College of Saint Mary Invite as seven Mustangs placed tied for 15th or better and Morningside brought home the team title Thursday in Omaha.
Morningside won the team title with a score of 62-over. The Mustangs won the team title by 16 strokes over Doane.
Sofia Castelan and Cameron Spellman tied for the individual championship with matching scores of 10-over par, 82. Aidan Sander tied for eighth at 19-over and Alysen Sander and Lucy Brown tied for 15th at 23-over. Competing individually, Kendra Casey tied for 11th at 20-over and Ainsley Hergert tied with Alysen Sander and Brown for 15th at 23-over.
The Mustangs are at the Wildcat Classic Monday and Tuesday in Wayne, Nebraska. It is the final competition of the season before the GPAC Championships for Morningside.
