Zuniga garners GPAC, NAIA Golfer of the Week honors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University junior Kamryn Zuniga was named Wednesday as the Great Plains Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics also named Zuniga as its player of the week this afternoon.

Last week at the Mustang Fall Invite, Zuniga claimed medalist honors by shooting a second round score of 73, just one over par at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa. She had three birdies during her second round, while she birdied two holes on Day 1.

She rounded out the two-day tournament with a two-day score of 150, good for six-over-par.
