Button receives GPAC Golfer of the Week honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside freshman Macy Button was named GPAC Women’s Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her top-20 finish at the Kyle Blaser Invitational.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside freshman Macy Button was named GPAC Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her top-20 finish at the Kyle Blaser Invitational.

Button led the Mustangs on March 17 with a 36-hole total of 166, including an 80 in the final round, to tie for 16th. She recorded two birdies in the opening round on Nos. 13 and 14.

The honor marks the third time this season — including the fall — that Button has placed inside the top 20. She currently holds a scoring average of 82.8 per round.
