Mustangs keep up with Division II foes in Wildcat Classic

Tuesday was the better day of the two-day tournament for the Mustangs, as they shot a collective 301, third-best in a field full of NCAA Division II teams.
Individually, Morningside was led by Kamryn Zuniga, who finished 12th overall with a two-round total of 152 (75-77). She added two birdies during Tuesday's round to maintain her position near the top of the leaderboard.
Ivanna Becerra-Diaz followed closely, tying for 17th at 154 (78-76), highlighted by a strong second-round improvement. She recorded three birdies on Tuesday.
Lucy Brown added a tie for 21st with a 155 (78-77), turning in another steady round that included a birdie to stay within the Top 25.
Alysen Sander placed tied for 47th at 161 (80-81), while Macy Button finished just behind at 163 (82-81). Button delivered one of the highlights of the day with two birdies and an eagle on hole No. 13 in Tuesday's round.
Competing as individuals, Kendra Casey carded a 169 (85-84), adding a birdie in the final round, while Aidan Sander finished with a 165 (83-82). Ella Welsh shot a 173, with her better round coming Monday (86).
