SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs added a tie to their record today as they outshot Grand View 16-2 under sunny skies at Elwood Olsen Stadium today.
Morningside dominated the contest, keeping the Vikings on defense for the majority of the contest. Grand View's back line and keeper, however, were successful in causing enough interference to keep the Mustangs from finding the back of the net.
Mia Stoffel had the best shots for the Mustangs, with all three of her shots resulting in GV saves. Keyera Harmon took six shots, with one on goal.
Kyla Syverson collected her second clean sheet of the week in the draw, thanks to a strong defensive effort that kept the Vikings two shots off target.
The Mustangs are at Mid America Nazarene on Saturday, kicking off at 1 p.m. in Olathe, Kan.
