SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Following her hat trick Saturday, Morningside senior midfielder Melissa Tsatiris was named Tuesday as the Great Plains Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Tsatiris scored all three goals during the clean sheet victory on Saturday against Judson during the first half. She took four shots during the match.
Her first goal came 44 seconds into the match, then followed up with goals in the 21st and 23rd minutes. Her third scoring play was unassisted, while Ida Carlsson and Tuva Hammarlund provided assists.
Tsatiris has six goals this season, second-most among Mustangs scorers.
Morningside is at home Saturday with an 8 p.m. match against Hastings.
