Mustangs compete in Gustavus Adolphus dual

The Mustangs kicked off the meet with the women's 200-yard medley relay, placing among the top five relay teams with a time of 2:03.02. Following suit, Willy Pinnow, Kyler Syverson, James Camp, and Joe Ciriaco raced to second place in the men's 200-yard medley relay, with a time of 1:39.18.
Trey Kennedy continued to push the competition in the 1,000-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 10:42.91, and giving Morningside another second place finish.
Sprinters Willy Pinnow and Rachel Roose made their mark in the 200- and 50-yard freestyle events, respectively, each placing third. Pinnow swam a 1:47.80 in the 200 and Roose a 25.74 in the 50. Roose, Pinnow and teammates returned to the blocks for the final event of the night, the 200-yard freestyle relay. The women's team finished with a total time of 1:45.95, good for second place, while the men's team, also placing second, recorded a time of 1:28.44.
The women's team finished the dual with a team score total of 69 points, and the men's team 88 points. The Mustangs return to action on Nov. 5 for it's second dual of the season, swimming against St. Ambrose in Morningside's Hindman-Hobbs Center.
