GAINESVILLE, FLA. – The indoor track and field season came to a close for the Mustangs today, as Courtney Sporrer competed in the 800-meter run at the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Sporrer's 800-meter run saw the field turned on its head, as many of the top runners produced slower times. Sporrer ran a 2:18.85 to finish in 13th, approximately a second and a half behind her season best. The top time in the qualifier came from the no. 8 runner in the field, while the top national qualifier was three seconds slower than earlier in the season.
While today's race is the final of Morningside's indoor season, the outdoor season is not far off, as the Mustangs head to Wayne State and Central Methodist at the end of March.
