Eight land on Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete list for women's track and field

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for women's track and field, releasing this year's list alongside the other spring sports.
Morningside had eight athletes named to this year's women's track and field list, Alee Edwards, Byanka Olivarez, Courtney Sporrer, Jolee Mesz, Kinsey Alt, Lauren Wehrbein, Meredith Draper, and Nicole Zuehl.
In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar-athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
