4x800, Distance Medley Relay Head to Nationals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics officially announced its qualifying field for the 2026 NAIA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship listing Morningside as a competitor in the 4x800 meter relay and the distance medley relay.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics officially announced its qualifying field for the 2026 NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship listing Morningside as a competitor in the 4x800 meter relay and the distance medley relay.
The Mustangs' list of athletes available for the relays includes, for the 4x800, Morgan Sachs, Madison Sporrer, Jolee Mesz, Courtney Sporrer, Ava Lang, Nicole Zuehl, Estefana Beisswenger, and Gabby Ryan. Morningside enters Beisswenger, Kylin Smith, Lang, Ryan, Zuehl, Courtney Sporrer, Madison Sporrer, and Mesz in the DMR.
Morningside's time of 9:16.29 is seeded eighth in the 4x800, while its DMR time of 12:17.12 is ranked no. 13. The 4x800 meter relay will run in the prelims on March 5 at 2:45 p.m. eastern time, hoping to advance to the finals on March 6 at 6:10 p.m. The Distance Medley prelims run at 4:45 p.m. on March 5, with the finals as the second-to-last event on March 7 at 4:40 p.m.
The NAIA National Championship will be held in Gainesville, Fla. at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center.
