A dozen women's track and field, cross country athletes land on NAIA scholar-athlete list
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar Athletes for women’s track and field and cross country, releasing this year’s list as the 2023 NAIA National Track and Field Championship got underway in Marion, Ind.

Morningside had 12 athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Emily Chicoine, Grace Lange, Holly Severance, Hope Morken, Laura Greene, Monica Olson, Natasha Freiberg, Paige Padavich, Sarah Bosch, Sarah Perez, Taylor Greene, and Taylor Sporrer.
In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
