Field events in front for Mustangs at Wildcat Classic

WAYNE, NEB. – The Mustangs made their mark in the outdoor opener for the 2024 track and field season as Morningside competed in the Wayne State Wildcat Classic.

Jacee Tindall was Morningside's top finisher, recording a personal record in the javelin throw as she recorded a mark of 26.98 meters, good for 13th place.

On the track, Ikilas Hasan placed no. 19 in the 800-meter run, crossing the line in 2:41.20.

Shelby Mills recorded a pair of 16th place finishes, in the discus throw with a mark of 37.82 meters and in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.48 meters.

The Mustangs continue their opening week tomorrow, as part of the squad competes in the Central Methodist University Invite in Fayette, Mo.
