SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the 10th time in program history, the Morningside University women's volleyball team qualified for the NAIA Tournament.
With the berth, Morningside's first-round match will be at 2 p.m. Saturday against No. 15 Viterbo in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Viterbo will stream the match on its web site.
The Mustangs (22-10) were one of 48 teams to make the field, and they did so by earning an at-large berth. They finished fourth with a 10-6 conference record, and they won five straight matches on two occasions.
The V-Hawks made the national tournament with an automatic bid, thanks to clinching the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title and conference tournament. This marks their 15th appearance in program history.
The winner of the match will advance to the championship site at the Tyson Events Center in downtown Sioux City in early December.
