Mustangs show grit against no. 13 Oklahoma Wesleyan
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – Morningside Women’s Volleyball faced its toughest test of the young season today as it matched up with no. 13 Oklahoma Wesleyan at the Siouxland Volleyball Invitational. The Mustangs showed their grit late in the match, ultimately falling 25-15, 25-16, 27-25.

Audrey Waido ran the offensive game as setter for Morningside, tallying 26 of the team's 28 assists. Emma Haren emerged as a favorite target, striking for 12 kills. Jacey Miller had six terminations, Adelyn Harris had five, Victoria Bouska had four, and Miyah Whitehead had three.
It was Aubrey Sandbothe that led Morningside's defense, notching 10 digs in the libero jersey. Waido, Taya Phillips, and Kyla Dyrstad each had eight, while Miller had seven. At the net, Waido had three block assists, while Bouska and Harris each had two, and Miller had one.
Morningside returns to the court on Wednesday, August 27, when it travels to Des Moines where the Mustangs will face Grand View.
