Dyrstad, Haren Receive AVCA All-Region Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association has released its postseason honors, naming a pair of Morningside sophomores, Kyla Dyrstand and Emma Haren, honorable mention All-Region for the Midnorth Region.

Dyrstad, a setter from Papillion, Neb., played in 28 matches, with 23 as the setter in a predominantly 5-1 rotation. On the season she recorded 954 assists for an average of 8.92 assists per set. Adjusted for the 87 sets she was a setter in, her average climbs to 10.83 assists per set. 

Haren, an outside hitter from Jackson, Minn., played in 26 matches, with 323 kills this season. She averaged 3.26 kills per set with a .213 hitting percentage.
