SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside generated 22 shots but couldn't find the net in a 2-0 men's soccer loss to Briar Cliff on Wednesday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
The Mustangs pushed throughout the match but were denied repeatedly by Briar Cliff. Jordan Bickel led the Morningside attack with seven shots, including four on goal, while Tassilo Koerner added three and Ramdane Sadmi had four attempts. Tim Heck and Leonard Hohner also contributed multiple looks.
Morningside controlled much of the possession, holding an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks and outshooting the Chargers 22-5. Goalkeeper Tim Teschner recorded two saves for Morningside while facing four shots on frame.
