GREENWOOD, IND. – Earlier this year, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) named Jacob Bolda, Alejandro Plaza, and John Spicer to its list of Academic All-District honorees for men’s swimming.
WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference released its all-conference lists for men’s swimming and diving today, naming five Morningsiders to the two teams.
The Mustangs’ top finish came in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where the quartet of John Spicer, Justin Bay, Pedro Fernandes, and Santiago Vilches swam the race in 1 minute, 24.51 seconds, good for ninth. The fastest split during that race was Spicer leading off at 20.83.
Morningside opened the national meet Wednesday night with a 12th-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as the quartet of Justin Bay, Fernandes, Spicer, and Vilches clocked a time of 1:32.80.
