SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside women’s basketball returned to its home floor for the first time in almost a month, welcoming the Dakota State University Trojans to Allee Gymnasium. The Trojans, receiving votes in the latest poll from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, successfully countered the Mustangs' attempts at pulling away until late in the contest, with Morningside coming away with an 81-67 victory at the conclusion of the meeting.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A cold second quarter for the Mustangs was what set Morningside and Briar Cliff apart when the final horn sounded in the Newman Flanagan Center following Great Plains Athletic Conference women’s basketball action. The host Chargers came away with a 76-54 victory, while Morningside could only find some satisfaction in knowing that it had narrowed the gap from the game’s largest margin of 32 points.
