SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Three second-half goals fueled Morningside's comeback in a 3-1 women's soccer win over Concordia on Saturday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
The Bulldogs struck first in the 26th minute, but the Mustangs regrouped at halftime and took control of the match. Trinay Garcia opened the scoring for Morningside just two minutes into the second half, finishing a pass from Emma Feigl with support from Ida Carlsson to tie it 1-1.
From there, Keyera Harmon provided the spark. The senior forward broke the tie in the 59th minute with a goal assisted by Melissa Tsatiris, then sealed the win in the 73rd minute on a feed from Sami Murray.
The Mustangs outshot Concordia 10-8, while goalkeeper Moriah Dixson made three saves to secure the win. Harmon led the attack with five shots, three on goal, and Garcia added another on target.
Morningside returns home Wednesday against Dordt.
