Statement Win Opens 2026 for Mustang Women
MOLINE, Ill. – The Mustangs picked up a major statement victory in the Quad Cities today, as they defeated preseason no. 19 Indiana Wesleyan 5-2 in women’s tennis.

Morningside took the advantage early as it picked up the doubles point courtesy of a 6-1 win for Lara Heinrich and Helene Kreibich and a 7-5 victory for Line Jensen and Brooke Marshall.
Jensen kept the ball rolling in singles play, winning 6-1, 6-3. Heinrich added a 6-1, 6-2 win in the no. 3 spot, and Kailee Bailey locked down the team win with a 6-4, 7-5 victory. Kreibich added an insurance point with a 6-4, 7-5 win at no. 4.
The Mustangs are back in the metro on Feb. 6, as they open home matches for the spring against Kansas Wesleyan at 5 p.m.
