SEWARD, NEB. – Morningside's cheer team hit a pair of routines that set new season-best scores, posting an 83.57 in prelims and an 83.95 in the final round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer Championship, resulting in a total score of 83.85 to place third.
SIOUX CENTER, IOWA – The Mustangs took the top spot at this year’s Dordt Cheer Invite, hitting a zero-deduction routine as they posted an 82.7.
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for cheer, releasing this year's list alongside the other winter sports.
ORANGE CITY, IOWA – Morningside’s cheer team posted its two highest scores of the season this weekend at Northwestern’s two-day cheer and dance invitational. The Mustangs recorded a third and a fourth place finish, posting the third-highest two-day total with 155.28 total points.
DES MOINES, IOWA – A first place finish in its second round triangular was the highlight of Morningside Cheer’s debut today at the Viking Challenge hosted by Grand View University.
SIOUX CITY – The Morningside University cheer team on Tuesday was voted fifth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference coaches poll. The Mustangs garnered 34 points, with Northwestern gaining the most points with 64.
CRETE, NEB. – Morningside cheer competed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer Championship, today, and while the Mustangs laid down a pair of high-energy routines, their scores placed them seventh among the GPAC rankings with a combined score of 78.71.
SIOUX CENTER, IOWA – After nailing a zero-deduction routine but coming up short in the standings at a home dual on Friday with a 74.75, the Mustangs turned the tables and came out ahead as they laid down a 77.55 to take the third spot in Dordt University’s cheer invitational.
SEWARD, NEB. – The Mustangs continued their competition season with a pair of duals as part of Concordia University’s Day of Duals. Morningside fell short of its score from the season opener, posting a 72.02 and a 71.2 on the day.
YANKTON, S.D. – It was the competitive season opener for Morningside Cheer as Morningside traveled to Mount Marty University for a dual today. The Mustangs did what they needed to to set the groundwork for a good season, winning the dual 82.65-56.15.
